Rennet & Rind, Stamford
This town-centre cheesemonger is the second branch of Rennet & Rind – the original store is in Cambridge where the business was first formed back in 1988. Not only do the team have excellent relationships with producers and source exceptional cheeses but they also create their own cheeses.
Their Duke cheese was awarded Super Gold at The World Cheese Awards and is cultured blue with a soft blue natural rind. It’s creamy and both salty and sweet. Sister cheese, The Duchess (awarded Bronze at The World Cheese Awards in San Sebastián) is an alpine-like cheese, bathed in English Sparkling Rosé from Saffron Grange family vineyard.
In addition to cheeses, you’ll find the perfect selection of accompaniments from fine wine and artisan cheese biscuits to honeycomb and charcuterie. Put simply, it’s a cheese-lovers paradise and you’ll struggle to walk by without popping in.
