A family-run business, Grasmere Farm’s passion is providing its customers with delicious, tender cuts of meat, expertly prepared and hand-crafted by its team of experienced butchers. The farm’s Hampshire-cross pigs are at the heart of the business, from breeding and raising them on the farm to butchering them on-site and selling the pork products in the shops and markets. “Our pigs are kept in open straw yards and expertly reared to traditional farming methods,” says Grasmere’s founder Stuart Stables.
Stuart’s family has farmed in south Lincolnshire since 1969. Since then the business has built an enviable reputation in the region. It now supplies a number of award-winning pubs and restaurants with its sausages and wide range of pork. You’ll also find its Grasmere Grunta and Pork Crackles on sale behind the bars of many of the area’s better pubs.
