A traditional country inn that serves bar snacks as well as bistro meals, The Rose & Crown team pride themselves on the quality of their food. “We’re all complete and utter food geeks here,” says co-owner Claire. That passion was recognised with The Rose & Crown being named ‘Booker Food Pub of the Year’ in the Carlsberg UK Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards – a set of awards that involve visits from secret diners. “We like to think The Rose & Crown captures just what a classic English country pub should be,” adds Claire. “We try to change the menu regularly and show attention to detail.”
Northamptonshire-based GFC member Victor says this about his local pub: “In my opinion, The Rose & Crown is excellent — bright, modern and serves top-notch food and wine. In particular, I like the fact that co-owner Claire and her team care about the quality of the wine and match it to the food they serve.
