Saxby’s Cider

Saxby’s Cider are an award-winning family-owned Northamptonshire producer who make cider using a blend of dessert and cider apples from their 3,500-tree orchard.

We first tried Saxby’s Cider at Towcester Food Festival and we’ve been big fans ever since. Fruit-flavoured ciders are often too sweet but that’s not the case with Saxby’s Ciders. They only add real fruit juices – no syrups or flavourings – and the result is a proper grown-up drink, for those times when you just fancy something a little bit different.

Our favourite so far is Saxby’s Plum Cider and many agree – it won ‘New Local Drink of the Year’ at the 2015/16 Carlsberg Northamptonshire Food & Drink Awards. Other flavours include Original, Rhubarb and Blackcurrant. There’s a Mulled Cider, too.

Several pubs and bars in the Northamptonshire area sell Saxby’s Cider including Albion Bar and Bread & Pullet. Or if you fancy a bottle or two to enjoy at home, Smiths Farm Shop and the Deli & Wine Bar at Heart of the Shires often have a good selection.
