The Blue Bell
Situated in the small Cambridgeshire village of Glinton, 10 minutes north of Peterborough, this cosy village dining pub dating back to the 18th century is a real treat!
Focusing on local and seasonal ingredients, head chef and owner Will Frankgate – a former Roux Scholarship finalist – and his team produce excellent classic and modern British dishes.
A typical meal might start with confit duck croquette with orange and chicory marmalade, walnut and watercress salad, followed by a main of pan-roasted stone bass, baked potato risotto, wild mushrooms, samphire and Parmesan. For pudding you may choose something like chocolate delice, salted peanut brittle, rhubarb and spiced chocolate crumb.
The food is prepared and cooked to a high standard.
A good selection of cask ales is available, alongside a very respectable wine list.

Excellent eatery with great staff and lovely traditional suroundings. Another visit is due as the owner has refurbed the rear area which is secluded. They provide a cracking Christmas Lunch for those who might be tempted. Book early to avoid disappointment!
