Prana Indian Restaurant
Prana Indian Restaurant was opened in 2016 by owner and founder Kobir Ahmed. Prana is an established neighbourhood restaurant on Mill Road, just a few minutes from the station and the city centre. Over the years, Prana has consistently won at the British Curry Awards and Prestige Awards. Most recently, they won Best Dining Experience at the Lux Life Hospitality Awards.
Kobir takes his menu extremely seriously. He sources his ingredients carefully and even prepares some of the sauces and pastes at home to ensure the flavours are unique. The menu combines traditional favourites such as tikka masala, biriyani, and dhansak; with a wide range of grilled, seafood and vegetarian options. Menu highlights include the goan fish curry, chilli sea bass and the sikandari lamb which is marinated for 48 hours and then roasted.
Community is very important to Kobir. Prana proudly supports Lifecraft, a neighbouring mental health charity and they encourage donations as part of any online takeaway order.
Incidentally, Kobir shares the menu with his uncle’s restaurant Malik’s. They have branches in Cookham and Marlow and boast notable regulars such as Peter Jones, Tom Kerridge and Heston Blumental!
