The Three Horseshoes
The Three Horseshoes at Madingley is another great gastropub from Cambs Cuisine – and, as with all of the group’s establishments in the Cambridge area, you can expect good food and top customer service.
This thatched inn is just three miles from the centre of Cambridge but feels a million miles away from all the tourists the university city attracts. The pub is dog-friendly and has local ales, cocktails and a wine list focusing on Languedoc-Roussillon region.
So what’s on the menu? Roasts are always popular but you don’t have to be a carnivore to enjoy it here – there’s a multitude of both vegan and gluten-free options to choose from. This is a pub that caters for all and on the menu you’ll find some additional information – there’s a note about allergies, offers of doggy bags, donations to local charities (£1 if over £30 is spent, although it is optional) and even the option to borrow reading glasses! It’s little touches such as these that show this is a pub – and indeed a group of pubs – that make dining out that bit more personal.
