Taj Tandoori has been a popular feature in the pretty city of Cambridge since 1986 making it somewhat of an institution. Brothers Syed and Julal manage both the front and back of house and have created a menu that fuses both their British and Bangladeshi cultures. You’ll find authentic Bangladeshi dishes, British curries plus fusion dishes with Indian, British and Chinese influences.
Upon entering the restaurant, you’ll feel immediately welcome and customers return time and time again, as if part of the family. And it’s won countless awards including one from the ‘oscars’ of the curry world – the Curry Awards.
There’s many tantalising dishes to choose from – The Bengal Tiger (slow-cooked mutton with seven different types of chillies), North Indian Tawa Subzi (a vegan dish with baby aubergines, potato and cauliflower) and Indo-Chinese Garlic Chilli Chicken (chicken with a garlic tempered sauces).
