The Red Lion, Great Bowden
The Red Lion in Great Bowden has recently been refurbished and is a charming place to stop for a drink or bite to eat. The pub has its own farm at Great Easton and the produce there – including meat – features prominently on the menu. Other ingredients are sourced from the local area and reflect what’s in season.
Head chef Yaga is known for his delicious food and in the summer, you can relax in the pretty gardens with gourmet burgers and pizzas. The Mexican burger with beef chilli comes highly recommended! You’ll also find curries, pies and fish dishes on the menu.
On Sundays, there’s a roast for everyone including lamb from the farm and grilled aubergine for vegetarians and vegans.
