The winner is March House Farm – a Leicestershire producer championing sustainability, tradition, variety, innovation and flavour.
March House Farm recently created what could be a world-first – a single-origin Melton Mowbray pork pie, with every element produced and baked on their Leicestershire farm.

The pork, jelly and lard all come from their own pigs. The pastry is made with wheat grown regeneratively on the farm in partnership with Wild Farmed. The result is a unique pork pie, produced entirely on-site. This is a brilliant expression of provenance, sustainability and tradition, and it sums up what this a family-run business is all about.

But there’s more to March House Farm, which has roots dating back to 1780. Their farm shop offers grass-fed, regeneratively farmed beef, lamb, pork and chicken, plus an impressive deli selling house-made charcuterie, chicken liver parfait, and bacon smoked by local outfit Feast and the Furious. Their café serves hearty breakfasts, lunches and occasional evening events, all championing the farm’s own produce.

This award reflects more than delicious food. Since opening their farm shop just eight years ago, March House Farm has grown rapidly, driven by a commitment to sustainability and quality. Their regenerative farming practices restore soil health, support biodiversity and deliver outstanding crops and livestock – raising the bar for independent food production.

A previous GFC Food Hero of the Year, March House Farm continues to lead the way, proving that sustainability and excellence can go hand in hand. That’s why our judges have named them Food Producer of the Year 2025/6.
