The winner is Smoqued for its authentic and carefully prepared South American street food.

From a distinctive yellow 1973 Citroen H-Van, Smoqued, run by James Gordon, serves mouthwatering dishes such as Lamb Barbacoa Tacos (smoked lamb shoulder, homemade lamb bacon, crema Mexicana, arbol salsa, chimichurri, coriander); and Confit Duck Tostada (confit duck leg, herb salad, pickled mustard seed, romesco, salsa verde, crema Mexicana, radish, coriander).

Each dish is full of flavour and meticulously prepared and put together.

Smoqued’s home is also exceptional – Campfire Trailer is a hidden gem found on an unlikely looking industrial estate in Swadlincote. This interesting location is an oasis of cocktails, craft beers and, thanks to Smoqued, excellent Mexican food.
