The Atrium Bar & Kitchen

Taking pride of place on the high street in Radcliffe on Trent, The Atrium Bar & Kitchen makes great use of the old village bank. You can even dine in the old vault, complete with huge concrete walls and the lyrics from The Clash’s “Bankrobber” adorning them.

The interior decor is bright and welcoming, and the many pieces are art are set off by the bright yellow walls and beautiful glass atrium ceiling.

The menu lives up to the setting. Owner Hilary O’Donnell says: “We produce innovative dishes from locally sourced ingredients. Only the best-quality, tastiest food makes its way through our serving hatch.” The food is extensive: breakfast, brunch, lunch, evening meals and a tapas menu, along with a well stocked bar.

We’ve had Hilary’s homemade toasted date & walnut loaf twice and it really is worth making the trip for. The sweetcorn & halloumi fritters with poached eggs, chilli jam and pickled cucumber were delicious too. Little people are also well catered for.

The Atrium Bar & Kitchen will no doubt become a regular haunt.
