Blackshale Bar & Kitchen

Blackshale Bar and Kitchen is part of a very ambitious project from Nottinghamshire’s Lincoln Green Brewing Company. They’ve taken a tired old pub and converted it into two distinct venues. On one side, The White Lion, focused on cask ales, and on the other, Blackshale Bar & Kitchen which is all about modern British contemporary food, paired with craft beers.

The décor inside is modern, but relaxed and not at all pretentious. A good range of seating options including the front terrace and garden area at the back.

Food and drinks are equally important at Blackshale Bar and Kitchen, and they encourage beer and food pairing. Their view is there’s a beer to match any food! The menu contains many pub classics such as fish & chips, pies and burgers, as well as rabbit ragout, beef short ribs or tandoori salmon. Something for every taste, and every beer!

Blackshale Bar and Kitchen, with its sister the White Lion, are definitely breathing some new life into this area of Beeston, and it’s all the better for it!
