The White Lion, Beeston

The White Lion, Beeston is part of a very ambitious project from Nottinghamshire’s Lincoln Green Brewing Company. It used to be a tired old pub that needed more than a lick of paint and it’s had more than that. It’s now not just one pub but two! On one side, the White Lion focusing on excellent cask ales; and the other, the Blackshale Bar and Kitchen with fantastic craft beers and food.

The White Lion understandably describes itself as “small but perfectly formed”. If you were to imagine the inside of a traditional British pub, it would look like this. It has plenty of dark wood throughout; tasteful ale memorabilia on the walls and a range of traditional pub furniture too.

This is a pub focused on high quality drinks. A good range of wines and spirits of course, but the main attraction is definitely the beer. The full range Lincoln Green’s cask ales are available, plus rotating guests from national and local independents. And if you’re feeling peckish, there are bar snacks such as pizzas and wings available, plus daily specials too!
