The Cellar Door Wines story dates back to 2004 when brothers Miles and Peter Lilliot opened for business and within only 4 years had been named Independent Wine Retailer of the Year. Sadly Miles passed away in 2011, but Peter continued and then recruited Penny Edwards in 2017. Penny and Peter took the brand in a new direction, focusing on a wide premium range of wines and spirits.
Fast forward to present day and Cellar Door is a wine lover’s paradise. The shelves are full of cracking drops from across the world and categorised by flavour profile rather than grape. So for the non-expert, it’s a really simple way of exploring unfamiliar brands.
They run wine tasting events, masterclasses and have a wine club to sign-up to. And if you’re not local you can order wines for delivery too.
