Piero’s Deli, on Ware Road in Hoddesdon, is a lovely Italian gem run by local entrepreneur Piero Costanzo. It’s located on a small parade of shops just north of the centre of town, but there’s plenty of committed locals popping in daily!
This is the place to go to grab authentic Italian produce, fresh-made paninis, artisanal sausages, and delightful Sicilian-style cooking. This is a real taste of Italy and a place where locals gather for morning espressos and toasted sandwiches.
On our visit, Piero was preparing some Italian sausage meat to be part of an amazing ragu recipe (which he kindly shared with us).
