Engine Yard at Belvoir Castle
In the shadow of Belvoir Castle, at the heart of the 16,000-acre estate, is The Engine Yard.
Once a collection of old workshops, the Duchess of Rutland had the vision to create a food & drink hub, the first of its kind in the Vale of Belvoir. The £2.5m artisan retail village opened in late 2018, championing local businesses and great British brands.
Among the restored Victorian buildings, visitors are spoilt for choice. You can enjoy cocktails made by the in-house mixologist and tuck into tapas, bar snacks and sharing plates at The Balloon Bar. Choose from a delicious menu of fresh home-cooked meals, light lunches and sweet treats at The Fuel Tank. Pick up something divine at Cocoa Amore; sit back with blends and flavoured coffee and teas at Cherizena, or enjoy The Country Victualler and Jorge Artisan Deli.
There’s children’s play area too, making The Engine Yard ideal for a family trip into the beautiful Vale of Belvoir.
