The Pharmacie Arms is Syston’s first – and only – micropub, run by creator Dave Noseley, and it’s a real community gem. Housed in a former charity shop and opened in 2018, it’s larger than most micropubs but just as friendly. Inside you’ll find a quirky 1950s chemist theme, complete with vintage medical artefacts, old adverts, and Cedric the resident skeleton, relaxing in a dentist’s chair.
Beer, not food, is the star here, with a regularly changing line-up of local guest ales from breweries such as Brewsters in Grantham, plus up to seven craft kegs, ciders, artisan gins, rums, wines and cocktails. Leicester CAMRA’s Pub of the Month (October 2019) and joint Suburban Pub of the Year 2024, it also picked up CAMRA Pub of the Year 2025.
A proper pub for beer lovers, The Pharmacie Arms is proof that community spirit and a cracking pint never go out of fashion.
