Mason’s Il Cappo Del Caffè

Mason Cashmore and his dad Ant have, for years, shared a love of both high quality coffee and motor engineering. And so, when they found an old Peugeot J9 van, they had an idea to convert it into a mobile coffee shop. After 18 months of hard work, the van was ready and Mason identified a spot at Fosse Meadows Country Park. That was the start of Mason’s Il Cappo Del Caffè!

Since 2021, Mason has parked up in in Fosse Meadows daily and treated the dog walkers, hikers and horseriders to the best barista coffee in the area! Mason is there every day (weather permitting) from 8:45am to 4pm serving all kinds of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and cold drinks. The coffee van is now a pretty permanent fixture. Mason knows that consistency is the key to success for his business, and in his own words “this is a coffee shop, not a coffee van”.

The coffee menu is broad, featuring cortados, macchiatos, mochas and frappes as well as seasonal alternatives like pistachio lattes and tiramasu cappuccinos, (all also available with oat, soya or almond milk). There are also some fabulous thickshakes too!

Mason’s has been a really welcome addition to the area, and if you check the inside of the van roof, you’ll see it virtually covered with completed loyalty cards.
