Garden City Brewery & Bar is the award‑winning craft brewpub co‑owned by Holly‑Anne Rolfe and her husband Nick. They launched the microbrewery in June 2016, transforming a former café into a charming brewery and pub. It’s located in the Wynd with a few other independent food and drink businesses.
There’s a local-first ethos here and Garden City is clearly an important part of the community. Back in the pandemic they were delivering much needed beer to homes in milk bottles! Fast forward to the present day and they consistently raise thousands for charity through pub quizzes and other events such as the annual Glast-Wynd-Bury.
They brew their own beers on-site and serve them ‘on-gravity’ (directly from the cask). They also have plenty of guest ales, keg beers and excellent real cider too. Their regular customers love the quality and so do CAMRA. Garden City has been North Herts Cider Pub of the Year for many years; plus they consistently feature in the Good Beer Guide!
