Luca Fiorio started his own micro bakery back in 2018 with just a small mixer and a couple of ovens and sold his baked goods at the local Farmer’s Market. Today, there’s a large commercial unit supplying bread and viennoiseries to outlets across the area and beyond.

And if you’re in Ely, you can visit Grain Culture’s Bake Shop & General Store where at busy times, you’ll often find a queue as eager fans wait to get their hands on delicious sourdough loaves, mouth-watering pastries and more.

There’s space to sit and enjoy a coffee and a sweet treat (let’s face it’s going to be a challenge to wait until you get home) and then leave with not only baked goods but some cheese from Neal’s Yard Dairy, wine and other tasty goodies.
