Hidden Food Tours offers a fun, immersive and informative way to explore Melton Mowbray’s rich culinary heritage. This three-hour walking tour takes small groups to a range of venues around the historic town, where guests sample top-quality local produce while learning about the area’s food and drink history and the people behind it.
Focusing on the East Midlands’ diverse food scene, the tour features classics like Stilton and pork pies, alongside newer offerings such as Samosa Wallah Indian snacks, Feast & The Furious smoked foods and regional craft beer and cider. The experience is meticulously researched and beautifully delivered, with strong partnerships at its core.
Launched in 2023 by Charla and Matt, the tour was named Best New Tourism Business at the Go Leicestershire Hospitality & Tourism Awards 2024. Judges praised its passion, flair and originality: “This business took on quite a challenge… but proved that there is always something new to offer when it’s done well.”
