Just So Italian Market Harborough
Just So Italian is a deli in the heart of Market Harborough run by Italian husband and wife team Alison and Danilo Trozzi. Stocked with everything from risotto rice to flavoured oils, pestos to cured meats, you could easily lose yourself among the shelves. As importers of Italian products from all over the country, it’s no surprise that the Trozzis’ deli is so packed full with delightful things.
“Our aim is to create a one-stop-shop for people looking for Italian food,” says Alison, “a place where they can drop in and pick something up for dinner, or take away a slice of pizza or a fresh focaccia sandwich. We want to offer a selection of products not usually found in the supermarkets. To achieve this we work closely with several small producers in Italy.”
Turn away from the shelves and you come face to face with a counter that almost runs the entire length of the deli. Above the cheeses and cured meats is a mouthwatering selection of homemade Italian pastries and treats – zabaglione curls and chocolate and hazelnut aragostine amongst them. Or, if you have more of a savoury tooth, the homemade pizzas are available to buy by the slice or more.
Another nice touch is Just So Italian’s ‘create your own hamper’ option – a great gift idea.
The shop’s opening hours are Mon-Sat: 9am-5pm. If you live too far from Market Harborough to visit, you can also order online.
