The Stockyard in Melton Mowbray is an evolving food and drink hub deeply rooted in the historic Livestock Market’s millennium-long history.
It is benefiting from £12 million in Levelling Up Government funding, setting the stage for its evolution into a vibrant hub for food, drink and events. The Feast & The Furious smokehouse & restaurant was inaugurated last year, adding to the fantastic offerings of Round Corner Brewing & Pizza and The Fur & Feather cocktail bar.
Livestock sales and markets on Tuesday and Friday mornings keep the tradition alive, alongside regular foodie events like the East Midlands Food & Drink Festival and Chocfest. This historic area, also home to food stalls belonging to the likes of Dickinson & Morris pork pies, has a hugely exciting future.
