Olivia’s Coffee & Bakery

Olivia’s is a popular spot on Market Street in Loughborough making artisan baked goods on site and serving excellent coffee. It opened in 2018 and is run by Jose who gained much of his experience as a pastry chef in Spain (the country he grew up in) working in Michelin star restaurants.

But of course, we need to tell you who Olivia is. She’s the kitty that features on the bakery’s branding and was found in a very bad way behind a bin in Madrid before being rescued by Jose. Today, her life has turned around and some might even say, she’s a lucky black cat…

There’s always a range of tasty bread to choose from (the pullman loaf used to make the sandwiches is delicious) and of course, lots of sweet treats from cinnamon buns to brownies but you have to quick as these goodies sell out fast! Also available are gluten-free and vegan bakes. Coffee served is from Monsoon Estates in Stratford-upon-Avon and the tea is from Golden Tea Monkey Company in Warwick.

In 2021, Olivia’s took over the cafe at Outwoods Country Park in Charnwood, too, so you can pick up a coffee and a bite to eat after a woodland walk.
