Napton Cidery
Napton Cidery in Napton on the Hill, Warwickshire, is a beautiful, rustic cidery run by Charlotte Jolyon and her husband & cider-maker Jolyon Olivier. Consisting of a shop & a bar and set on a farm, it is well worth a visit.
Napton Cidery makes well-balanced ciders from a blend of 17 unsprayed Herefordshire apples. These apple varieties include ‘Dabinett’, ‘Yarlington Mill’ and ‘Kingston Black’. Jolyon ferments the apple juice with naturally occurring yeast and allows the yeast to work through all the fructose before pasteurising and re-adding a small amount of raw cane sugar – just 1% in the case of their excellent No. 3 dry cider. A little more for the others.
The results of this meticulous work are delicious, natural-tasting ciders packed with flavour. Unlike many high-street brands, which in some cases are made from just 35% concentrated apple juice, Napton Ciders are 99% apple juice. The real deal!
The distinctive branding is by Littlefish Creative of Leamington Spa.
We highly recommend a visit to Napton Cidery for a taste of the good life!
