The Old Bridge Hotel & Wine Shop
The Old Bridge Hotel is a delightful 18th century ivy-clad old townhouse on the bank of the River Ouse. It sits by the bridge that joins the historic town of Godmanchester to the market town of Huntingdon.
John and Julia Hoskins run the hotel, and also own the Three Horseshoes at Madingley. Comprising a 24-room boutique hotel, upmarket restaurant and wine shop, discerning foodie visitors have plenty of reasons to visit. The rooms are all individually appointed, designed by Julie Hoskins.
Head chef Jack Woolner cooks an unapologetically British-leaning menu, focusing on seasonality and flavour, although the monthly menu does introduce some Mediterranean twists. The Old Bridge Hotel is a regular in the Good Food Guide and serves breakfast, snacks and Afternoon Tea, as well as lunch and dinner.
John Hoskins runs the adjoining wine shop. John is a Master of Wine and operates a monthly wine club featuring tastings, food pairings and events. The shop has garnered many awards and carries an outstanding selection of wines to match any vintner in the country!
