PE Mead & Sons Farm Shop & Tea Room is located just across the road from the family farm in Wilstone, just outside Tring. This is a traditional mixed farm with arable crops, cattle and sheep. Crops include milling wheat, feed wheat, oilseed rape, field beans, spring barley and maize.
This is a real family business, over 8 generations of Meads have called this area home, dating back to William Mead in 1841. These days it’s run by Simon & Chris Mead who preside over the farm, the farm shop, the farmhouse kitchen café, made-by-Mead brands and Chiltern Cold Pressed Oil.
The farm shop of course stocks fresh meat from the farm, fresh vegetables and plenty of deli items too. Plus local favourites such as Campfire Gin, Culture Bakery and Tring Brewery and many more from the local area.
The café follows the same ethos. Everything in there from tea bags to the furniture is sourced locally. Grab a coffee, a sausage roll, a full English or an afternoon tea!
Not only is this a place to grab a brew or pick up provisions, but also somewhere for the community to come together. Whether that’s Sessions On The Farm, or Meet The Machinery – PE Mead are always thinking of ways to introduce people to their lovely farm!
