Petty Elliott
Petty Elliott is a pioneer of modern Indonesian cuisine who is on a mission to bring the flavours of the world’s largest archipelago to the UK. She has written two cookbooks – Papaya Flower and Jakarta Bites, appeared on TV and holds cookery workshops in the UK and abroad.
The dishes Petty creates are bursting with colour, texture and taste and having been born in Indonesia’s Spice Islands, there’s a big focus on spices.
Visit Petty’s website and you’ll find recipes to suit every occasion and palate including Soto Betawi (beef broth), Wedang Jahe (Indonesian tea) and Sayur Lodeh (Javanese vegetable soup). And to make things easier for budding chefs, Petty launched Rasaku – a range of fresh pastes to create authentic Indonesian cuisine at home.
