The Radcliffe

The Radcliffe in Radcliffe-on-Trent is situated a stone’s throw from the River Trent, this superbly refurbished pub impresses with its excellent take on modern British cooking. It’s no surprise it was runner-up in the Best Newcomer category in the Nottingham Post Awards 2019.

Expect dishes such as braised beef with buttered spinach & fondant potato; Bombay potato terrine with long-stem cauliflower & hazelnuts; and day-boat plaice with saffron potatoes and Shetland mussels.

Directors David Hage and Mark Osborne breathed new life into The Radcliffe with a significant refurbishment in July 2019. At about the same time, the duo won a coveted industry title, the BII Licensee of the Year Award 2019.

Despite being a pub that takes food seriously, The Radcliffe sees itself as a village pub with its bar at the heart of it all. With wooden floors, sea-grass carpets and comfy seating, it provides a pleasing feeling of light and space. The Radcliffe is the sister pub of The Railway.
