The Admiral Hornblower
The market town of Oakham is home to The Admiral Hornblower Hotel & Restaurant, a 17th-century building that was once a farmhouse. While it’s no longer surrounded by farmland, it retains many of its original features and you’ll be charmed by the character from the moment you set foot in the door.
Inside, the decor is tasteful and rustic befitting this listed building and the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea. Starting with the most important meal of the day, you can choose from light offerings such as granola or go big with a proper breakfast – even adding a glass of prosecco if you wish.
Lunch and dinner menus change frequently and include seasonal produce from nearby suppliers including locally-reared meat. Sharing boards are especially popular too, and perfect if you like a little bit of everything!
