The Cambridge Chop House
As the name suggests, meat is the name of the game at The Cambridge Chop House, especially steak. This meat-lovers paradise is close to King’s College Chapel and occupies two floors, taking in some of Cambridge’s most famous views.
Steaks served are sourced within the UK and include Chateaubriand (dry-aged from the British Native Breeds programme). Sunday roasts are delicious and while of course, meat is the main draw, you’ll also find fish dishes and vegetarian options.
Local ales are available on cask and the wine list is vast. The restaurant is part of the Cambs Cuisine group and, like its other establishments, there’s a focus on wines sourced from the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France, and staff visit winemakers there twice a year.
If you’re shopping in Cambridge or want to dine somewhere quintessentially British, this restaurant won’t disappoint.
