The Cod’s Scallops, West Bridgford

The Cod’s Scallops in West Bridgford opened in 2022 and is one of five branches in the Midlands which first started selling fish and chips back in 2011. And the team must have an award-winning formula because they regularly pick up gongs  – including the West Bridgford restaurant making it into the top 5 in the Fish & Chip Restaurant of the Year category at the National Fish & Chip Awards 2023.

Step inside the restaurant and you’ll be wowed by the stylish decor – this isn’t your average chippie! It’s a great place for families to enjoy a special treat and there’s always lots to choose from on the menu including more than 20 types of fish and it’s all cooked fresh to order. You can opt for battered fish or, for a more healthy alternative, baked in garlic, lemon and herbs. Sit in or take away, the choice is yours. All cod and haddock is MSC approved and the company raises money for The Fishermen’s Mission – an organisation that has been supporting fishermen for more than 130 years.
