The Forge Inn at Glenfield is a village pub that offers top service and a buzzing environment. The food is also consistently good. We recommend you try the ‘hot-hob’ filled baguettes for lunch, or a dish from their ‘stove’ section in the evening.
The Forge is part of The Beautiful Pubs Collective, an independent group of four Leicestershire pubs. Established in 2008, the Collective is led by Sam Hagger, a man with a nasty case of ‘hospitalityitis’! We know Sam well here at Great Food Club, and he’s a slave to his addiction: he can’t stop trying to improve his pubs! For Sam, every detail has to be right, and consistency is king.
It’s no surprise, then, that Sam was named ’Business Executive of the Year 2019’ in the Leicester Mercury Business Awards, and ‘Ambassador of the Industry’ at The Caterer People Awards.
