The Pomfret Arms
The Pomfret Arms is a beer drinker’s delight with its own microbrewery on site. Cotton End Brewery was founded in 2014 and produces a range of regular ales such as its award-winning Coffee Porter together with seasonal and one-off ales. On our visit we also tried the Spiced Wheat Beer, which was light and refreshing and infused with lemongrass and ginger, making it a perfect summer drink.
The Pomfret is also proud to serve beers from the award-winning Great Oakley Brewery in Tiffield and regularly stocks guest ales from breweries such as Siren Craft, Tring, Framework and more.
The local produce doesn’t stop there – all of the bar snacks, from the pork scratchings from Butcher’s Block in Northampton to the nuts, are locally sourced too.
The pub has a wonderful outdoor area at the back which makes for a lovely setting for music and other events. The area has been carefully planted and even includes a number of varieties of hops.
