The Side House Coffee Shop

We were delighted to discover The Side House Coffee Shop in the pretty village of Claypole on the Lincolnshire/Nottinghamshire border. The team bake delicious cakes (including some old school classics such as cornflake tart) and sources meat from F Doncasters Butcher which is just across the road.

This independent tea room serves cracking breakfasts – full English with Lincolnshire sausages and a full veggie breakfast, too, plus pancakes, smashed avocado and more.

Coffee is provided by local roasters, 200 Degrees and there’s plenty of other hot and cold drinks.

Or why not pop in for lunch? The sandwiches are delicious and include bacon, pear and cheese (a winning combo in our books!), coronation chicken and falafel and red onion. Paninis and jacket potatoes are also available. And if you’re in a rush, ring ahead to order a takeaway.
