The Sun Inn, Great Easton
The Sun Inn is a Grade II listed pub with real charm and character and it’s recently undergone a huge renovation. Craftsmen from the local area worked hard to transform the pub by moving the bar, creating a state-of-the-art kitchen, refurbishing period features and taking the unused boiler room, and reinventing it as a private dining space called the ‘Wine Room’.
Take a look outside too and you’ll find the tranquil ‘Olive Garden’ – once an unloved beer garden, now a beautiful sun trap that has been designed with a Mediterranean feel, perfect for dining al fresco.
Much of the meat on the menu comes from the pub’s own farm which is made up of rare breed cows, sheep and pigs. Other produce is sourced locally to keep the business as sustainable as possible. Menus change daily depending on what is in season, and you’ll find a large selection of drinks including local ale and beer, plus wines from around the world and indeed, closer to home.
