Bluebadger Foods is the brainchild of True Meischke and her mother Sam. True was studying at Yonsei University in Seoul, and was struggling to get vegan or vegetarian food in shops or restaurants. So when her mum Sam came to visit, she started learning how to make vegan and vegetarian Korean dishes for her and her daughter. That was the start of Bluebadger’s first product: Kimmie’s Kimchi (named after their dog!)
Since then, the product range has grown to include Seoul Sauce, Bibimbap and Gochu Jam, bringing a real taste of Korea to Hertfordshire. The products are made to order in small batches to ensure the highest quality and freshness.
Even though the business has only been going a few years, they have already won various awards including a gold, a silver and a bronze in the National Chilli Awards for their Bibimbap, their Kimchi and their Gochu Jam respectively.
You can grab their products from stockists such as French & Day, from their shop A Little Taste of Seoul at Offley Hoo Farm or just visit their website to order online.
