Potter Street Fishmongers is located in the Eat 17 collective in the heart of Bishop’s Stortford alongside some other great independents! It’s run by owner James Ackroyd and manager Adam Andrews, both accredited MFS standard fishmongers.
Quality and sustainability is at the heart of their approach. The majority of their fish is sourced from day boats around the UK’s fishing ports, primarily Brixham, Newlyn, Sussex and Peterhead Plus they have line-caught and MSC certified fish.
There’s a great range from wet fish, shellfish, smoked varieties, and ready-to-eat platters or fish kebabs.
It’s open Tuesday to Saturday from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. They are also regulars at weekend markets such as Alexandra Palace, Stroud Green and Oval. Plus they supply pubs, restaurants, hotels and delis across Hertfordshire, Essex and London.
