Halsey’s has been a part of Hitchin since 1854 when George Halsey first opened as the town’s provisioner. For over 170 years, they have continued to serve the people of Hitchin and surrounds with quality food and beverages.
Under Kim MacLarty’s leadership these traditions have continued with a curated range of beverages including a wide range of loose leaf teas: vibrant green teas, aromatic blends and soothing tisanes. All available to drink in or take home.
Prefer coffee? Halsey’s beans are roasted in Hitchin to their own recipe, crafted for depth, balance and flavour. Coffee beans are available to take home and can be ground to order.
There’s also wide range of daytime treats on the menu; their signature all day Bubble & Squeak, fabulous toasties and the legendary Big Boy Breakfast Bap. Other options include sweet and savoury treats such as award winning sausage rolls, a wide selection of cakes, traybakes, cinnamon buns, cookies or cannoli!
Halsey’s philosophy is simple: create space for little luxuries – for yourself, and for the loved ones who make life meaningful.
