Fadia’s Food Adventure started in Lebanon and now calls Hertfordshire home. Fadia Ramminger grew up in Lebanon, exposed to amazing foods and ingredients, but also practical cooking techniques. Food is culture to Fadia – it brings people together, it facilitates conversation and connection.
After an upbringing in Lebanon, and time spent in Germany, she came to St Albans in the early 2000s. The early days were spent volunteering in family centres, in education and providing care services, but cooking was always a passion. During lockdown, she started online cook-along lessons, which led her to turn her hobby into something more serious. She’s now a catering and cookery lecturer at Oaklands College but has also started her own catering business. She runs Lebanese cookery classes and workshops, outside catering services and even takeaway food. Her food includes amazing hummus, babagaoush, tzatziki, cheese and she even creates her own tea. All is absolutely superb!
Her attitude is that you can make great food from simple ingredients. Quality fresh food doesn’t need to be expensive. Old bread can be turned into something amazing instead of being thrown away. She regularly demonstrates how through sustainable cooking workshops. She also runs cooking classes from her kitchen in St Albans, clients’ kitchens and also hosts cookery experiences for companies in her garden outside kitchen.
Her food journey has already taken Fadia across the world, and new people are joining her food adventure every day!
