Megan’s, Welwyn Garden City

Megan’s In The Garden City is as much about its welcoming atmosphere as it is its cuisine. This is a business that started life in an antiques shop on the Kings Road back in 2002. The original owner Megan used to sell homemade cakes and pastries browsing the shop – and over time it evolved into a café.

Fast-forward to present day and this is a group of restaurants across the South East including two in Hertfordshire. At the heart of the business is Executive Chef Sercan Ugurlu. Born in Turkey, Sercan brings his culinary heritage directly to the menu, giving Megan’s a distinct Mediterranean and Turkish influence that sets it apart from many other brunch and all-day dining spots. From “posh flatbread kebabs” to shakshouka-style dishes and sharing mezze plates, as well as brunch and lunch classics, there’s plenty to choose from. In our experience, everything on the menu is really tasty and a perfect spot whether you’re brunching with friends, lunching with the family or dining with colleagues. It’s even dog friendly too.

This is a place with a modern, yet relaxed interior, comfortable seating and excellent personal service.
