The Olde Three Cocks, Brigstock

Cosy and full of charm, The Olde Three Cocks in Brigstock is a classic village pub with real heart. A crackling fire in winter, rustic bar and welcoming team set the tone, while the food completes the picture.

Meat is sourced from Joseph Morris Butchers in South Kilworth – one of the last independents with its own abattoir – and the menu includes satisfying, homemade pies (we enjoyed beef and ale pie with chive mash) and thoughtful dishes like limoncello-poached salmon with mustard and tarragon sauce, pumpkin and pine nut ravioli with truffle rocket, and Sunday roasts with all the trimmings.

A lovely local touch is the Northamptonshire Skittles table – a quirky traditional game that still draws a crowd. Landlords Lee and Helen White have created a warm, community-focused destination that combines good food, real ale and village character.
