Cooked & Ate is a young business created by Watford resident Yolanda Roach. Growing up in a close family in South Africa, Yolanda learned about the importance of home-cooked nutritional meals. When she was young, her mother was always cooking and providing for the community, and that attitude and ethos has stayed with Yolanda.
Her business is all about delivering vibrant South African dishes to Hertfordshire locals. Cooked & Ate is all about slow-cooked stews, flame-grilled meats, comforting curries, and dishes that showcase the spice blends and techniques she learned from her family.
What’s started as a small, home-run operation is evolving into catering, events and a weekly delivery service. It’s bringing fresh, ready-to-eat meals to customers across the Watford area. The menu changes frequently but always stays true to Yolanda’s culinary heritage.
Yolanda is perfect example of an entrepreneur – a creative thinker, but highly organised with attention to detail. And we fully expect huge things from her and Cooked & Ate!
