Flourish Craft Bakery is a very popular café, bakery and pizza place from siblings Paul & Helen O’Connell. It’s located on an industrial estate in Watford and they’ve managed to create something very stylish, yet cleverly in-keeping with the surroundings.
As well as being a wholesale bakery, customers can also pop in to the café. The bread is excellent and has won awards over the years. Their sourdough won “Britain’s best loaf 2021” and has recently won it again in 2025!
There’s plenty of cakes and pastries on offer from flaky croissants to wonderfully tangy lemon‑blueberry cakes. Or if you’re settling in for a meal, there are full breakfasts, toasties, wraps and sandwiches including ‘The Reuben’ which is salt-beef brisket with Swiss cheese on carraway bread. Literally everything you find there is crafted on site and straight from the oven that morning!
