Gannets Middlebeck opened in 2019 and can be found close to the Sustrans route making it is a hub for cyclists, runners, walkers and local families. This contemporary cafe has an industrial design feel with plenty of space both inside and out to enjoy breakfast, lunch or a snack.
Dishes are homemade using seasonal ingredients sourced from local suppliers and if you’re on two wheels or on foot, you can refuel with a hearty brunch or enjoy a delicious coffee with a slice of yummy cake. And best of all, everyone will feel welcome with options for vegetarians, vegans and those who have a dairy or gluten-free diet. Little ones will be happy too, with a special children’s menu on offer.
This is the second Gannets cafe – the first opened in a Georgian building in Castle Gate, Newark back in 1979 so it’s quite the institution!
