Jorge Artisan Foods, Buckminster

After many years working in London and Spain, former Jamie Oliver chef George Bennett (or ‘Jorge’) returned back home to the UK to recover from an accident. While convalescing, he spent time in the family kitchen experimenting with recipes and menus. And from there, Jorge Artisan Foods was born.

After years of living in Spain, he built up a huge network of growers, manufacturers, chefs and suppliers across the country Spain. Over time Jorge has built up relationships with family estates in Greece and Italy as well as many European producers to supply wholesale to delis, chefs and fine food outlets across the country. Recognition has followed and in 2023 they won the prestigious Best Artisanal Food Enterprise Award.

Jorge’s new deli in Buckminster Yard is in a charming building and is full wonderful treats. You’ll be leaving with a bag full of pate, sausage rolls, sandwiches, truffles and chocolates. Or maybe grab some of the Jorge range of infused olive oils and balsamic vinegars, such as the citrus olive oil or the maple syrup flavoured balsamic!
