Open since January 2026, Origin Farm Shop sits on a working farm near Rushton, just outside Kettering. This new North Northamptonshire opening brings together a butchery, farm shop and café in a converted farm building purchased by local farmers, the White family, in 2022.
The shop is well laid out, with a strong butchery counter and a thoughtful range of local produce. Suppliers include Braybrooke Beer Co, Saxby’s Cider, Gallone’s Ice Cream of Market Harborough, Wild & Furrow, Hambleton Bakery and Northampton Cheese Company. There’s also coffee and light bites, making it an easy stop as well as a destination.
We met Bethan and Emily, part of a friendly, knowledgeable team. Origin Farm is run by Thomas White, alongside his wife Chloe and father Robert, who also operate Origin at Whites in Earls Barton and Thomas Farm Shop in Ecton.
It’s a welcome addition to the area, with outdoor seating and events planned for summer.
