ARTea Room

Located inside rural shopping village Wakefield County Courtyard in Potterspury, Northants, ARTea Room is a licenced teashop offering vintage style and a cosy atmosphere.

On our visit to this pretty and unique place, we opted for a breakfast tea blend. On sitting down with our homemade cakes (one carrot, one coffee), we read the menu in more detail and were delighted to discover descriptions that explained the flavour profiles of all the teas.

If tea is not your drink of choice there are plenty of other options including speciality coffees, milkshakes, soft drinks and real ales from Northamptonshire’s Frog Island Brewery.

If you want something more substantial than tea and cake, ARTea Room also serves good food including breakfasts, jacket potatoes, toasties, sandwiches and salads. Another reason to visit is the artwork on the walls by local artists, including an impressive hand-painted mural.

A catering service is available too.

An excellent little tea room situated in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside. A large selection of loose leaf tea, it comes out of the pot very strong so we asked for some extra hot water. The breakfast selection looks great, I was tempted to try one when I saw one come out to the couple on the table next to us, but I went for a toasted sandwich. Generous filling and plenty of choice of fillings to choose from. They are licensed so a beer or glass of wine is available if tea isn’t your thing. A wide choice of soft drinks and cake, oh my word the cake, we tried the pimms cakes which was stunning.

The walls are filled with local artists and there is plenty to look at on the various cabinets.

Service was friendly and welcoming and if it was pretty busy, would recommend a visit for lunch or breakfast!
