The Boot at Sarratt

The Boot is a traditional country pub and restaurant in the beautiful village of Sarratt. It’s an historic place and dates back as far as 1739.

Owners Zoe and Nick took over the pub in 2010 and since then have been on a constant mission to create a fantastic welcoming pub restaurant for the whole family.

For Zoe, this was personal. Her parents first met in the pub and she worked there when she was younger. So when she met head chef Nick there, it was inevitable that one day they’d own it!

The Boot is a real part of the community. It’s staffed by youngsters from the area, visited by many families from the village and a place for local groups to meet. It’s also very dog friendly.

Food is hugely important at The Boot. They open daily for breakfast serving up full English, breakfast baps and sausages for 4-legged visitors. The main menu includes pub classics such as their amazing pies, fish & chips or burgers. But there are plenty of alternatives too like sticky salmon, rack of BBQ ribs or beetroot & sweet potato falafel. You should definitely leave room for pudding too.

There’s plenty of outdoor space at the back to keep the for kids entertained, and benches out front to watch the sun set over the village green. And in the winter months, a roaring fire to cosy-up around.

A charming village pub, with excellent food and well-kept beer. Well worth a visit!
